Blue Ridge Racing Products represents the dream of founder Greg Loftin to work in the motorcycle industry. The core idea of providing tool kit solutions to the powersports industry came about after Greg had a mechanical failure on his motorcycle 50 miles from the truck in the middle of the North Ga. Mountains. Greg had recently purchased the bike new and, with less than 100 miles on the odometer, had not thought to bring along any tools. With only a multi-tool, emergency matches and his cell phone on hand, this proved to be a big problem when it became obvious the tool was of little use for the necessary repairs. To make matters worse, there was no cell service and his matches were wet from the many stream crossings he had done that day! After spending most of a cold February night hypothermic and trying to McGyver a fix, Greg began thinking about what he SHOULD have been carrying all along.

Greg survived his ordeal and, in the days that followed, began looking for a set of tools that would allow him to fix most any type of problem he might encounter while out riding and exploring. After many frustrating hours both on the internet and at the local hardware store looking at tools, it became obvious that outfitting a tool kit was going to be both time consuming and expensive. After making a number of purchases, Greg discovered that most of tools which were small enough to fit in a tool pouch were limited in use for anything beyond simple tasks. Knowing this, he began looking for someone who sold tool kits. This only led to more frustration since there were only a few options available and those proved to be mostly bulky, heavy, or hard to use. Greg made several purchases only to find the kits to be incomplete requiring additional tool purchases.

From these frustrations, the idea formed to start a company whose focus would be providing complete tool kits to the motorcycle community! At first, Greg and several of his riding buddies began researching tools, tool packs, survival items, flash lights and anything else that potentially made sense in a tool kit. This resulted in several unique ideas including the development of a pack built around the tools which could be worn as a fanny pack or mounted to a rear fender. It was decided that all kits should start with a simple and efficient T-handle based tool set and offer as options a number of items considered essential to most experienced riders.

Today, with its line of fully outfitted tool kits and accessories, Blue Ridge Racing has done just that! Recognized as the industry leader among motorcycle, ATV and snowmobile enthusiasts worldwide, the Blue Ridge Racing line of products are used by racers, adventure travelers and anyone else whose riding activities take them into remote places. Perhaps the most impressive customer though is the the U.S. Military which is now using these kits for special forces operations!
